Wish I was a Glow worm!

Just for fun- Wish I was a Glow worm

by Tammy Maddux.

Supplies needed: Dark brown, cream, and orange 8 1/2"x 11" card stock *Multi colored striped pattern paper (used here from Hot off the Press pack) *Stamps from DRS (#1044d glow worm and #1048g words in cling) and a clear block *Yellow stickles (glitter glue) * Black ink (graphite black Brilliance) *Smooch ink in sundance, moonlight, kiwi, green apple, and lettuce *clear star glitter pen by Gelly roll *Orange ribbon 1/4" wide *Adhesive of choice *Black extra fine sharpie *Die cutting machine (Cuttlebug) *Spellbinder dies (Ironworks motifs s5-059 and large octagons) *Xyron 1.5" sticker maker *paper trimmer.

Instructions: Stamp bug and words on cream card stock (leave space between for cutting) with black ink. Cut words in a rectangle as close as possible and set aside. Use octagon die closest to size of bug and cut out with bug in center of die. Color bug with Smooch ink as desired. Use the glitter pen to color wings and to go over the outlines to add sparkle. Also, use glitter pen over the letters in the words. Set the bug aside after adding the Stickles to its tail (added sparkle) to let set. Mat words on orange card stock leaving a small boarder and set aside. Use med medallion die and cut out in orange card stock. Adhere bug onto medallion and set aside.
Cut dark brown to 5 1/2"x 8 1/2" to make card base and fold in half. Cut pattern paper to 4 1/8"x 5 3/8" then into squares about 1 1/8"x1 1/8". Adhere squares on card base in an alternating pattern to form a patchwork look, edges may not aline and that's OK. Using Xyron, run ribbon through to add adhesive and place about 1" from opening of card. Now adhere words to upper right just over the ribbon and the medallion to the left. Write own message inside card and done.

This card opens on the bottom. Adhere the 4 x 5 ¼ grey cardstock piece to thewhite cardstock (card base). Adhere the 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 square print to the greycardstock. Adhere the 2 ¾ x 3 7/8 heart print paper approx. 5/8” from bottom ofsquare print. Adhere ¼ x 3 7/8 stripe piece on seam where hearts and squarepieces meet. Put one piece at top and bottom. Set aside.

Die cut 3 ¼ x 3 ¼ grey cardstock using the heart circle orany Spellbinders nestablilities. Die cut 2 ½ x 2 ½ red solid print usingwhatever circle fits. Adhere red to center of grey die cut. I colored theDigital stamp “Monkey Love” using color pencils. Whatever you have is fine. Cutthe monkey out using your scissors. Leave about 1/8 around the image. I like tocolor first because then you have more to hold on to when cutting. Adheremonkey to red and grey die cut piece. Use foam mounting tap to stick to card,center on heart print paper.

Tie ribbon at top. Tie silver on top of red knot. Use fingernail to silver curl ribbon. I addedstardust stickles to the roses & dots on heart.

This card opens on the side. Fold the dark brown cardstockin half. Use a snowflake edge punch topunch the front edge of the card. Antique the all the edges on the piece ofpaper. Adhere the 4 ¾ x 5 ¼ white cardstock piece to the dark brown cardstock (cardbase). Adhere the 4 ½ x 5 stripes print to the white cardstock. Set aside

Using the cuttlebug, die cut 4 x 5 red w/ snowflakes. And 4x 5 raspberry stripe using a Spellbinder of your choice (label 8). Adhere thedie cut shape in red w/snowflakes to the die cut shape in raspberry stripe. Theblue is a little larger. Cut out thejournaling card with the snowman on it. Trim it down to match the picture. Adhere the snowman journaling cardusing foam mounting tape to the red w/snowflakes die cut piece. Adhere them tothe front of the card, centering. Adherethe rhinestones to the center of the punched out snowflakes.

Inside: Adhere 4 ¾ x5 ¼ white cardstock to inside of card. Using the 1 ½ x 5 ¼ red w/snowflakes print paper, punch itout with snowflake edge punch. Adhere theedge punched piece to the side of the card. Aligning top to bottom to thewhite. But putting the red right to the edge. Adhere ½ x 5 ¼ stripes print to theleft side of the red, 1/8 from the snowflake punch edge.

Happy New Year Card Idea

Supplies needed: *Dark red card blank by Paper Accents *Dark red card stock *olive card stock* Lite blue card stock * pattern paper Coffee cups by Karen Foster Designs *Self adhesive rhinestones *Xyron 1" sticker maker *Adhesive of choice *die cutting system (cricut used here) * black ink.

Instuctions: *Fold card blank
*Cut patten paper to 4 x 5 1/4" and adhere to card blank crooked leaving some of the red showing.
*Cut lite blue paper to 2 x 2", 4 x 3", and 5 x 3 1/2" (you should have three peices). Ink edges.
*Cut dark red to 3 x 2 7/8". Ink edges.
*Cut olive to 7/8 x2 3/4". Ink edges.
*Using die cut system: cut out of olive "New year" about 1/2" high and out of red "Happy" about 1/4" high. Note: we are using the negetive of the "Happy".
*Place letters and cut out in Xyron to add adhesive.
*Use the 2 x 2" blue, place the New Year letters on it in a diamond. And ahere to red rectangle as shone in picture.
*Mat "Happy" to olive rectangle.
*Use 4 x 3 blue rectangle, place red rectangle on it starting at the right hand edge. Leaving a blue boarder on three sides. Place the olive rectange next to the red one. Leaving a blue boarder.
*Adhere word rectangle to card front crooked to pattern paper.
*Place the rhinestones on, set of three in upper left corner, in middle, and in lower right corner.
*Inside, adhere largest lite blue peice. Make sure it is centered.

Celebrate 2012

Supplies needed: *Olive card blank by Paper Accents* Striped pattern paper* Olive card stock* burgundy sheer ribbon* "celebrate" stamp from Great Impressions* Black ink of choice* Black Confetti embossing powder* die cutting system ( cricut used here)* Med corner rounder by Ek Success* glue dots and adhesive of choice* Xyron 1" sticker maker* paper trimmer and scissors.

Instructions: *Fold card blank*

*Cut pattern paper to 4 x 5 1/4" and round the corners.

*Adhere to card blank.

*Using die cutting system, cut out numbers "2012" about 1" high out of scrap pattern paper. Place numbers in Xyron to put adhesive on back. Place numbers on olive card stock and cut out then round corners.

*Stamp "celebrate" in black ink and emboss with black confetti powder on olive card stock. Cut out and round corners.

*Run 7" of ribbon through Xyron and place on card front about 1" from card fold. Make a bow out of ribbon and use glue dot to adhere to center of card front.

*Adhere Celebrate to top right area of card and 2012 to lower right area.

*Inside, take a 1 x 3" strip of pattern paper and round corners, then adhere to upper area of card. Write your message under neath.

This card opens on the bottom side. Fold the Hot Pinkcardstock in half. Adhere the 3 3/4 x 5 black cardstock piece to the Hot Pink cardstock (card base).Adhere the 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 white cardstock to the black cardstock. Adhere 3 ½ x 4¾ green dots print to white cardstock. Set aside

Adhere 2 3/8 x 3 ½ snowflake print to 2 ½ x 3 1/2 black cardstock.Using 1 x 3 ½ white cardstock to punch out snowflake edge punch. Adheresnowflake edge ¼” from bottom of green dot print. Adhere snowflake print/ blackcardstock piece 1/4 “ from snowflakes punched out edge.

Stamp Snowman using Onxy Black ink on 3 3/8 x 3 1/4 whitecardstock. Stamp the top hat stamp on 1 ½ x 1 ½ white square. Using what everyou like color, color image. I have been using Crayola 50 count color pencils.Lots of color choices. Trim image down around a 1/16 (look at photo). Adhere coloredimage to 3 x 2 7/8 black cardstock. You should have a small border of black. Cutout top hat on the black line. Adhere it to the top of the snowman’s head. Thehat will stick up a little. Using foam mounting tape on the back of the blackcardstock adhere image to front of card. Tilt image a little to the left. Using1 ½ x 1 ½ white cardstock punch out snowflake. Adhere to top right corner ofimage. Stick hot pink rhinestone to the center of snowflake. .

Inside: Adhere 3 7/8x 5 1/8 white cardstock to inside of card. Adhere 1 x 3 7/8 green zigzag printpaper to top of white cardstock. Use 1 x 3 7/8 white cardstock, punch it outwith snowflake edge punch. Adheresnowflake edge punch to top of green zigzag print. Adhere ½ x 3 7/8 snowflakeprint to ½ x 3 7/8 black cardstock. Allowing only 1/8” of black to show undersnowflake print. Adhere both pieces to top of snowflake edge punched piece.Using onxy ink stamp Christmas Note. Stamp it in the bottom right corner of thewhite cardstock. I colored the holly leaf green.

Happy Harvest paper collection is designed by Imaginisce Company.

This card opens on the right side. Antique all the side ofthe pieces of paper with chalk ink. Adhere the 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 orange dot printpiece to the chocolate cardstock (card base). Adhere the 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 stripeprint to the Orange dot print. Set aside

Die cut 4 ¼ x 5 brown print using the label 4 or anySpellbinders nestablilitie. Put the die cut shape in the swirly embossingfolder and run it thru the cuttlebug. Rub the chalk ink over the embossedswirls in the die cut piece, lightly. Set aside.

Ink the Thanksgiving chickies. Stamp thanksgiving chickiesusing saddle brown ink on 2 x 4 cream. Using what ever you like color, colorimage. Trim image down. Leave a 1/8 border around image. Adhere images to 1 5/8x 3 3/8 chocolate cardstock. Mount that to the Label 4 using foam mountingtape. Mount that to the front of the card using foam mounting tape, centering.

Inside: Using thestamp “Thankful for you”. Stamp on the bottom right corner of the creamcardstock using saddle brown ink. Using the 1 x 5 ¼ orange dots print paper, punch it out withedge punch. Adhere 1 x 5 ¼ orange dots edgepunched piece to top of the cream cardstock. Adhere ½ x 5 ¼ stripe print to thetop of the edge punch print. Tie a ribbon on the left side of the card near thefold.

Thoughtful Thanksgiving card by Tammy Maddux

Supplies needed: *paper bag card blank from Paper Accents* paper pack "Rich and Spicy" from Hot off the Press* dark brown and birch 8 1/2x 11 card stock* light weight vellum 8 1/2x11 *Girl stamp from Great Impressions (f466)* Happy Thanksgiving stamp from Inkadinkado (99730)* large Maple leaf punch from EK Success* black ink* paper trimmer* adhesive of your choice * clear star gelly roll pen from Sakura.

Instructions : *Fold card blank

*Cut stem paper to 5 3/8"x4 1/8" and adhere to card front. *Punch two brown leaves and two vellum leaves, then adhere togather at stem. adhere leaves so that the center petal is in the corner of the stem paper at the top inside and bottom outside. *Stamp girl on the birch card stock, cut as close as possible to image. Then ink edges and adhere to center of card front so that it covers some of each leaf. *Stamp Happy Thanksgiving on to stem paper and cut out as close as possible to image. Follow the lines of image with the gelly roll pen and color in the Thanksgiving. *Cut stem paper to 5 3/8"x4 1/8" and adhere to inside of card. *Cut birch card stock to 5 1/4"x 4, ink edges, and adhere inside of the stem paper (leaving a small boarder of stem paper). * Adhere Thanksgiving stem paper to upper area of inside card. Tammy's simple Thanksgiving card

Supplies needed: paper bag card blank for Paper Accent, brown card stock, Inkadinkado stamps: Happy Thanksgiving (99730) and autumn flourish (97238), Black ink, Smooch accent ink by Clearsnap in pumpkin, siren, and kiwi, 2.5" wire edged ribbon with sunflowers, adhesive, paper trimmer, and scissors.

Instructions: Fold card blank. Then cut brown card stock to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8", adhere to front of card blank. Cut ribbon to 5" and adhere to top of the card (over lap the fold and edge). Stamp flourish to lower part of card. On a separate piece of brown card stock, stamp happy thanksgiving and then color in the fruit and word with the smooch ink. When that is dry, adhere to center of the ribbon on the front. Inside write what you are thankful for and Happy Thanksgiving from your pal Tammy Maddux.

Halloween Greetings

Halloween Greetings flower by Tammy Maddux

Supplies needed: 8 1/2"x11" card stock in orange and black, white card blank, a die-cutting machine (Cuttlebug), Spellbinder dies: wonky rectangles and classic ovals small, Sizzix Tim Holtz mesh embossing folder, stamps from Inkadinkado #99533 Organic fabric flourish and from Hero Arts cl353 Halloween Greetings, clear stamping block, black and white stamping ink, black mesh ribbon from May Arts, adhesive of choice, scissors or paper trimmer.

Instructions:
*Use die-cutting machine, cut a frame with the largest wonky rec. and largest oval in the orange card stock. Center the oval in the rec. to make a frame. Then place the frame in the embossing folder and emboss. Next rub black ink over the frame and set aside to dry.
*Stamp the flower and "Halloween greeting" on black card stock in white ink leaving space for cutting out. Center flower in frame and adhere down, then cut around frame.
*Cut "Halloween greeting" in a rectangle and mat on orange card stock.
*Cut ribbon to 4 1/4 long and adhere to back of frame in center area.
*Fold card blank and adhere frame to top of front of card and the greeting to lower front (not quite touching the frame).
*Finish up the card, by stamping another sentiment inside.

Halloween Greetings by Tammy Maddux

Supplies needed: *White gate card blank 5"x5" from Paper Accents *8 1/2"x11" card stock in red, black, and white *Brilliance ink in black graphite *G.C.D. studios "jungle" double sided paper *Inkadinkado clear stamps: witches (60-30537) and bat'n'moon mini (60-30201) *Great Impressions stamp: halloween greetings *Orange swirl sheer ribbon *EKsuccess corner rounder punch *Spellbinder die: star *die cutting machine *adhesive *paper trimmer *scissors * Xyron small sticker maker*

Instructions: *On white card stock, stamp the witch with the cauldron, halloween greetings, and the star flourish. On red card stock, stamp the witch with the cauldron. Cut red witch into a rectangle as close to image as possible. Cut halloween greetings the same as witch ( of course it will be much smaller). Cut the flourish as close as possible to image. Round the corners of the rectangles.
* Using your die cut machine, place the smallest star in top corner of the red witch and cut out. ( a star punch may also work). Take a small piece of white card stock and cut another star, we will use the area around the cut. Adhere the white cut out to back of the red witches star, making sure that the white is showing through just a bit. Then cut a small piece of black and back the star. Cut two strips of black card stock to
2 1/4"x4 3/4" and cut two stars on the sides of each strip.
* Adhere orange ribbon to center of the black strips. Adhere the black strips to the gate card front so that the stars are toward the folds.
* Mat the red witch with the reverse side of jungle paper so that about an 1/4" border is created. Cut out the cauldron and face of the white witch and using the Xyron make stickers of them. Place the cauldron and face on the red witch in the appropriate places. Now adhere the red witch to the gate card only on one side of gate about half way. Note: the witch should be in the middle of card front.

* Mat the halloween greetings with red, then with pattern paper, and with black. Be sure to round the corners. Set this aside.
*Cut pattern paper to 4 1/2"x4 1/2" square and round corners. Adhere to center of inside of the card. Cut red to 4"x4" and round corners. Adhere to pattern paper off centered or crooked. Adhere flourish and the greetings to upper area of red.

What do you do with one 12" x 12" double sided pattern paper, some cardstock and an hour or two? Make 5 cards.

I used Sassafras "Vintage Lovely" for the 5 cards I completed.

"Spooktacular" Invitation

Halloween Invitation

Supplies:

Judikins Diamond Glaze
Glitter Paper 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" mat
Black - Red - White Markers
1- small black brad
1 - 6" x 12" Cosmo Criket Haunted Gothic Scrapbook Paper
1 - 12" x 12" Cosmo Criket Haunted Journaling Cards Scrapbook Paper
1 - 12" x 12" Cosmo Criket Haunted Strip Tease Scrapbook Paper
1- 2 1/2" Cardstock Circle punched or cut from Black Paper
Happy Halloween rubber stamp from DRS #22G259 or your stamp of choice.

Instructions:

Using the 6" x 12" Haunted Gothic paper make a score line 3" in from both the left side and right side - fold each side in to meet in the middle - this will create your gate fold card base
Next using the Haunted Journaling Cards paper cut 1 of the six journaling cards (Spooktacular! was used for this sample) and adhere it to the center of the inside of your card. Taking your black and red markers fill in any information regarding your event.
Now we will begin assembling the cover of your card
From the Haunted Journal Cards paper cut out the 3" x 4" framed card
Adhere the framed card to the 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" glitter mat
Stamp you Halloween Greeting to the center of the framed card and then adhere matted card to the left flap on the cover of your card; making sure to only adhere 1/2 of the mat to the left flap so the other half is centered over the right side flap when card is closed.
Cut co -ordinating strip from the Haunted Strip tease paper 6" long. Score every 1" along length of strip and fold - this will create a feel of depth and texture. Adhere strip to left side only along bottom of front card *see sample above
Using your 2 1/2" circle and your white marker draw straight lines from center of circle out to the edge creating a "cob web" effect. Once you have your "cob web" drawn using Judikins Diamond Glaze lightly apply glaze over each spider web line. Allow to dry and attach to top right corner of matted journal card using small black brad.

Wheels on the bus
Back to school card

Supplies needed: Olive card blank from Paper Accents, "Walk in the park" paper from Karen Foster Design, White, brown, and yellow 8.5x11 card stock, Yellow vellum, Black pen, "Thought bubble" stamp from Great Impressions (F489), Graphite black ink pad from Brilliance, paper trimmer, adhesive of choice, foam glue square or glue dot, two small silver brads, .5"circle punch, very small hole punch, and scissors.

Instructions: Cut pattern paper starting from the bottom to 5 3/8". Make sure that you have the trees on the strip. cut the area with the trees to measure 4 1/8"x 5 3/8". Then cut the other end of strip to measure the same as tree cut. Fold card blank and adhere trees to front and the other peice to inside. You should have an olive border around the paper.
On white card stock and the yellow vellum, stamp the thought bubble and set aside to dry. Punch out two .5" circles from the brown card stock then punch small hole in center of each circle. Place a brad in each circle. Cut a small peice of yellow cardstock to 1 3/4"x 3/4". Then free hand the shape of a two wheeled bus. Adhere brown circles to cut out for the wheels. Use pen to draw the details on the bus.

Then using foam square or dot, adhere bus to inside. placeing it to look like it is on a road or hill. Cut out both thought bubbles as close as possible to edges. On the white bubble, write in song "the wheel on the bus go round and round". Adhere bubbles togather sandwiching the words in the middle. Then adhere to front of card so that it looks like it is comming from behind a tree. On white card stock, write "have a fun day at school". Adhere vellum over words and cut out a round. Place this inside, under the bus.

Senior Year - Scrapbook Page Layout

Supplies Needed:

2 - 4" x 6" Photos
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge
Heritage Cricut Cartridge
1 - 12" x 12" Black Textured Cardstock paper
1 - 8.5" x 11" Black Cardstock paper
1 - 12" x 12" Orange Textured Cardstock paper
2 - 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" mats for photos - cut from Ledger Cardstock Paper
White Gel Pen or White Permanent Marker
White - Ink Pad
Black - Ink Pad
Orange Stickles - Glitter/Blue by Ranger
Jukins Diamond Glaze
1" Fiskars Star Punch
2" Scallop Punch - EK Success

Instructions:

Using white ink stamp pad - ink over entire front of 12" x 12" Black cardstock page. This will give the page a "chalky" look.
Tear 2 - 12" x 1/4" stips of paper from the orange cardstock. Crinkle for texture.
Adhere the strips to the 12" x 12" Black cardstock. Using the above photo as your reference. Adhere one strip along the top and the other down the left hand side of your page.
Using your Plantin Schoolbook and Cricut machine cut a 4" Roly Poly Ribbon from your Orange cardstock. Distress with black ink pad.
Again, using your Plantin Schoolbook and Cricut machine cut a 2 1/2" circle from your 8.5" x 11" black cardstock page.
Using 2" Scallop punch from EK Success punch 1 - Scallop circle from your orange cardstock.
Using Fiskars 1" Star Punch - punch one star from your 8.5" x 11" black cardstock.
Use the above photo as your reference: Assemble the layers of your Roly Poly Ribbon. Once you have the layers adhered, use the Orange Stickles and place one medium sized dot in each scallop - allow to dry.
Once the stickles has dried - you may now write the school year in the center of the star and cover the entire Star using the Diamond Glaze - Allow to dry. Optional: when attaching star to ribbon layer try using a 3-D glue dot to add dimension.
Using your Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge and your Cricut Machine cut your school letters in ALL CAPS - SHADOW 2 1/4" from your black cardstock.
Using your Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge and your Cricut Machine cut your school letters in ALL CAPS 2" from your orange cardstock.
Layer the orange letters to the top of the black letters and adhere to the top right corner of your 12" x 12" Black cardstock page.
Attach your ribbon to the top left corner of your 12" x 12" Black cardstock making sure to cover the cross section of the orange strips.
Attach your photos to the ledger mats and adhere to your black cardstock page.
Along the left margin write your students grade year ie.. "Senior" Optional: Using your Heritage Cricut Cartridge cut a swirly accent from coordinating paper - cover with orange stickles and attach to page.

Hello School Back To School Card

Supplies Needed:

o Olive – Card Blank from Paper Accents

o “Summer Fun” 12” x 12” Scrapbook paper from Pink Paisley Designs

o Gold Parchment cardstock – 8.5” x 11”

o “Summer Messages” stamp set from Stampendous

o Olive Pastel chalk ink from Colorbox

o Medium corner rounder from EK Success Paper Shapers

o Paper Trimmer

o Scissors

o Adhesive of your choice

Instructions:

o Look over the “Summer Fun” scrapbook paper and decide which letters to use on the front of your card; keeping in mind that you will be using both sides of the paper and that you will need a strip that is 12” x 4”.

o Cut 2 strips (from 12” x 4” strip) that measure 4” x 5 ¼”

o Cut out the letters S-C-H-O-O-L in the square shape. Using the Medium Corner Rounder punch round all 4 edges on each letter.

o On the Gold Parchment cardstock stamp “hello” and “you brighten my day”. Cut out each phrase and again using the medium corner rounder punch all four corners of each phrase.

o Ink all edges of the letters, phrases, and the 2 – 4” x 5 ¼” squares.

o Adhere 1 - 4” x 5 ¼” to the front of your card and one to the inside of your card.

o Adhere the letters in a tight Diagonal to the front of the card, so that it spells “School”; then adhere the “Hello” phrase in the upper right corner.

o Adhere “You Brighten My Day” to the inside of your card.
