1 - 1" x 3" strip solid paper

1 - 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" patterned card stock for matting stamped image
1 - 3" x 4 1/2" solid card stock for double matting image
2 -  6" pieces of ribbon
brads
and flowers for embellishments
Stamp: "A Little Bit of Country" by  Sarah Kay Stampavie

Instructions:

Today I thought I would share with you an image that was colored using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Ink Markers on Glossy Card stock.  Although, this is not a recommended technique I decided to see how it would turn out.  Having an extensive background and experience with artistic painting, I found the look to be quite intense and rich and the feel was smooth.  It allowed for a longer drying time of the ink so I was able to move it around and blend it in ways not typical of regular card stock.

Stamp your image onto Glossy Card stock.  Using your Spectrum Noir Alcohol Ink Markers color the image as follows:

Boy

Boots EB1,EB7
Pants TB1,TB2,TB9
Shirt  CR8,CR10,CR11
Vest IG1,IG2,IG4
Holster EB1,EB7
Hat EB1,EB7
Hair TN7,TN8,EB8

Girl

Dress CG1,DG2,DG4
Hat GB8,GB10,EB5
Shoes TN7,TN8,EB8
Bow, Patch, Trim and Hat CR8,CR10,CR11
Patches CT4

Skin

FS2,FS3,TN2 & PP3

Outline Image
to make it "Pop"

Once you have completed coloring your image you are now ready to assemble your card.

1- 2" x 2" strip of paper to stamp phrase onto
1- 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" strip to mat phrase
3 - Classic Scallop Circles (cut one each of the 3 larger sizes from
                                               different colored cardstock)
Foam Tape
Adhesive
Brads
Gold Acrylic Paint
Water Color Pencils
Watercolor Brush

Stamps Used:  Great Impressions StickableStamps
July Stamp of the Month:  #C4358 "What's the Buzzz?"
                                                                          #F529S Beehive

Spellbinders Nestabilities:  Classic Scallop Circles Large

Cuttlebug Texture Folders:  Stars
                                                Cheetah

Paper:  "Sweet Days" collection by Echo Park Paper Co.

Instructions:

To watercolor your image merely stamp your image onto smallest of the 3 Scalloped Circles once stamped using your Cheetah texture folder run your stamped image through your Cuttlebug or die machine this will  give more texture to the image .  Using your watercolor pencils begin coloring in your image.  I typically begin in the center using lighter colors first and then blending in the darker colors as I go.  Once I have an area complete I then use my watercolor brush and water to smooth out the color and move highlights around, allowing to dry in between time.
Once dried you can embellish with brads, glitter, etc.

Using the photo above you can now begin building your card.  Take the 5" x 5" piece of colored cardstock and texturize it using the Stars texture folder.  I then cut each corner of the square going in 1" FROM THE POINT.  The pieces that are cut off are then used as photo corners.

Stamp your phrase, mat it and I used several layers of foam tape to give it a 3-D effect.

to create the gold dots I used the end of my stylus dipped it in gold acrylic paint and "stamped" it on the corners.
